Potter mania: Raving about Radcliffe!
CHANDIGARH: We have a diehard Daniel Radcliffe fan in the city. She is 15-year-old Rabani Bhagat, a class ten student.
This teen knows that persistence does pay. Ask how? For seven months, this young lady kept dashing off mail after mail to her heartthrob Daniel, who plays Harry Potter in the cinematic rendering of JK Rowling's eponymous works that have enthralled millions of people over the last decade.
So strong was her passion that she did not lose heart.

At last, in December last, she got a reply for her patience and determination. "As I read his letter I felt over the moon," says Rabani with a twinkle in her eyes.
In fact, today she has some six letters and two cards signed by Daniel her only treasure for the moment.
Though the replies sent to millions of Dan fans are standardized, yet for Rabani, it hardly matters.
With every letter she experiences the thrill. "They are like a reward to me," she gushes. In her own collection, Rabani has around 300 odd pictures of Daniel - either preserved from newspapers or downloaded from the Internet...

When she first saw the Potter series, she was spellbound by Dan's performance. The magic was so intense that she watched the movie innumerable times.

To the extent that she could actually recite it. "He looked cute in his first movie. But now he looks hot," says the die-hard fan who cries when she sees Harry in tears.
"I remember during Goblet of Fire I almost squeezed my friend's hand out of excitement, who was sitting just next to me as we watched the first-day first-show," says Rabani.
For Rabani, Dan is irresistible. Perhaps the reason, everything from her study table to her computer screen has a picture of this teen star.
And everybody in her family from her grand ma to her uncle in the US supports her. "Yes! We support Rabani by not opposing her," chortles her father Col Bhagat...
...
If her mother helps in adding to the collection, then her father brings her back down to the ground. "We offer her our community services, where everybody tends to help her in some way or the other," says her father.
